DIRECTIONS FOR MARKETING, soups, broths, gravies, sauces and made dishes, PASTRY AND CONFECTIONARY, DIRECTIONS FOR CARVING, Valuable family recipes, in dyeing, perfumery etc., instructions for brewing, making British wines, distilling, managing the dairy and gardening. THIRD EDITION, with Preface dated Dec 1,1811. 8vo, approximately 215 x 130 mm, 8½ x 5 inches, 10 plates including the portrait frontispiece, pages: [i-iii] iv, [5] 6-604, 609-634, this collation is the same as the collation in Cagle (see below), bound in full calf, gilt rules and gilt lettered label to spine, gilt decoration to edges of covers. Binding rubbed, slight chip to head and tail of lower hinge, corners worn, lower corner of upper cover with slight loss of leather, printers fault to 1 page with slight loss of text (see attached image), pale spotting and slight staining to 5 plates, occasional heavy turning creases, first blank endpaper has 3 old ink initials and a small hole, otherwise a very good copy.
