New Poetry Out of Wisconsin

by DERLETH, August (editor)

Condition: See description

Sauk City, WI: Stanton & Lee, 1969. Hardcover. 8vo. Yellow cloth, pictorial dust jacket. xxiv, 307pp. Near fine/near fine. Wonderfully tight and bright first edition of this superb, broad statewide anthology, a worthy sequel to Derleth's 1937 "Poetry Out of Wisconsin." A few of the contributors attained wider fame - Horace Gregory, Marya Zaturenskya - but the majority remain known mainly regionally. Artist Frank Utpatel, who did artwork for many of Derleth's best-known novels and other books, provides the jacket's powerful front panel.
