About This Item

Pittsburgh, PA: University of Pittsburgh Press, 1978. First Edition. Wrappers. 117 pp. With a preface by the editors. Fifty-five poems by twenty-seven poets, primarily from the post-1965 generation little known in English, but including a few (now) well-known figures such as Herbert, Rozewicz, and Szymborska. The editors worked closely on the English versions with a group of Polish translators at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Trace of sticker removal on front cover, small faint pen mark on bottom edge, otherwise a very good, unopened copy of the simultaneous paperbound issue. Uncommon. 8vo.
