Morristown, NJ: Peter A. Johnson, Henry P. Russell, Printer, 1810. Leather_bound. Very Good. Thick 12mo rebound in newer light tan full calf, retaining the original red leater, gilt lettered spine label; new endpapers, (1) vi, (16) Table of first lines, (1) "Song Of The Angels", 683, followed by variously paginated leaves (686-88 "Doxologies", 695 (recto)/700(verso) "Doxologies, Chorusses", 7(recto)/14(verso) "Chrousses" with decorated tailpiece with legend "Finis". (14) Index, (8) "Table of Scriptures", (4) "Gospel Sonnet" with advert for the printed verso of the final leaf of text with Just Published...Zion's Pilgrim by Dr. Hawker" and "Now In The Press...The Whole Works of the Rev. John Newton in 6 Volumes...". Corresponds generally to Felcone 601, the third and final Morristown edition but with the odd pagination noted above. Original ownership notation on the retained first blank "Joanna Parsons/ Her Book" repeated along the top edge of the title page. Some scuffing to the binding, and with some rounding to the corners of the text block; scattered foxing throughout.
