John I-45 he uses the comparison of the "provision for the office of President or Chief Magistrate is in the record of the United States Constitution" and "...as it is to the believer in American history, that George Washington, in his time, filled the supreme office of our Government." He draws upon the Improved Version, the Common Version, Wakefield's translation, and the then recently available older texts. .
