A single issue of this newspaper containing several articles on the Civil War and recent battles. This includes a cavalry fight at Cold Harbor, mention of General Butler's Army and artillery demonstrations and other smaller blurbs. With a small piece on the horrors of rebel prison houses or camps, providing a list of 370 names of Union soldiers who died in captivity during a span of five weeks. Another article reports on a sea collision between the steamer City of Bath and the ship Pocahontas, resulting in the sinking of the Pocahontas. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. General browning and light foxing and soiling to the pieces, with a few small spots of staining. Owner's signature in faint pencil at the top of the front page. Some tearing and creasing along the extremities.
