The sole UK printing published by The Previous Parrot Press in 1996. Number 'XL1X' of 86 special copies numbered in Roman numerals, signed by Frank Martin to the limitation page. Four B/W wood engravings, signed in pencil by Frank Martin are loosely inserted into a separate folder as issued. The Book and Engravings are in Fine condition. Loosely inserted is the publisher s Prospectus which is a large folded sheet printed as 4 pages incorporating 2 specimen pages, with reproductions of three wood-engravings. All housed in the publisher s original decorated slipcase which is in Fine condition. 30 wood engravings by Frank Martin, of which 8 are initial letters and a lino cut cover. Designed by Dennis Hall and set in Ehrhardt by David Vickers, the blocks printed by David Esslemont on Zerkall mould-made paper at Gwasg Gregynog. Bound by The Fine Bindery in original Canson paper boards with a linocut by the artist on the upper cover. A very handsome production. More images available on request.
