Black cloth, turquoise blue lettering (minor shelfwear, slight rubbing), w/ d.j. brilliant Art Deco cover art of figure in silhouette peering around corner (very minor chipping head & foot of spine, wear to corners), still NF/VG- copy. First A.L. Burt edition (reusing the Harper First Edition stated sheets with newly supplied Burt title page), of this fascinating Christmas mystery featuring both the author’s detectives, the young woman-shy Scotland Yard Inspector, Hugh Collier, and the private enquiry agent, Hermann Gilde.
