London: Secker and Warburg, 1949. A first edition, first printing published by Secker and Warburg in 1949. A very good book (no inscriptions) with off-setting to the front board with some slight spotting to the endpapers. In the very good unclipped green wrapper with some light loss to the top edge and a small piece to the head of the spine. Small hole to the spine edge and to the corners. No restoration of any kind.

Originally published on June 8, 1949 by Secker and Warburg in the United Kingdom, the book follows the main character, Winston Smith, through his disillusionment with totalitarianism and a doomed struggle of resistance.
