Nineteen Eighty-Four

by George Orwell

Condition: Near Fine/Very Good

First UK Edition/First Printing; A near fine book in a very good dust jacket. An outstanding copy of this seminal work of 20th Century Literature, a landmark of political and dystopian fiction, and named one of the great novels of the century. This copy is in near fine condition with a square, tight binding, bright red spine lettering on green cloth, and clean, white to off-white pages; mild sunning is present to the spine and board edges, the lower spine end is gently pushed, a couple of very small indentations are present to the lower board edges, and the corners are lightly turned. Housed in an ORIGINAL dark green, very good dust jacket that is clean and bright with rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and corners with only minimal loss of material, some mild creasing to the spine edges, and a couple of short closed tears to the bottom edges. No repair or restoration has been performed; not price clipped or ex-library. A very handsome copy of a book difficult to find in collectible condition, especially in it's original state with no restoration. A bucket list item for the 20th Century Literature collector!
