Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1925. First Trade Edition. Near fine in 1/4 black cloth and red paper covered boards with a paper label on the spine. Within a very good- unclipped dust jacket with several 1/2" deep chips at the upper edge of the spine area and front panel. 134 pages of text followed by a fold-out map of the greater Boston area. Illustrated with a number of photographic reproductions of earlier works of art. The book was first published in 1923 as a limited edition of 575 copies. The first issue of the book contained the following subtitle: "Exhibiting a fair and impartial account of the engagement fought on that day, chiefly in the Towns of Concord, Lexington, the Menotomy, between a Detachment of His Brittanick Majesty's Regular Troops and the Militia of the Province of Massachusetts Bay; with candid remarks upon certain relations of that sanguinary event as set forth by other hands."
