Cambridge, Massachusetts: Dunster House, 1926. 67 pp. Black cloth decorated in blue on the front panel and spine; limited to an edition of 750 copies, printed on hand-made paper. Wear at the corners with some chipping at the head and foot of the spine; previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. Associated with the Modernist school of poetry, MacLeish won three Pulitzer Prizes for his work. Nobodaddy, a play, was inspired, in part, by William Blake's poem of the same name. Said MacLeish in his foreword, "Having to deal with the dramatic situation which the condition of self-consciousness in an indifferent universe seems to me to present, I have appropriated, for its dramatic values, the story of Eden...".
