Sheet size is approx. 390mm x 250mm and the engraved plate area is approx. 375mm x 195mm. Page number in right hand margin. Some of it narrative reads "Caergwrley or Hope Castle, situated on the Alen, a small river which emptieth itself into the Dee. Into this castle ye said King retired when y Welch had surprised his Army. It is now in the pofsefsion of the Earl Of Derby". An excellent good, clean, strong, bright attractive topographical engraving with good margins.
