About This Item

Bowes & Bowes, Cambridge, 1931. First Edition. Paper Covers. Good/N/A. black titles spine & front; published for the Cambridge Antiquarian Society; Though the Index may appear to be rather slight, it is the only key we have to Cambridge matters contained in the many thousand volumes of Manuscripts which Oxford’s Bodleian Library possesses, and its printing will open the door to many hitherto unknown manuscripts for all those who are interested in matters concerning the Town and University of Cambridge. Mr. Madan's work (as presented in Part I) appeared so valuable that J. H. Bullock was tempted to supplement it by adding similar notes upon the MSS. etc. relating to the County, which cannot be satisfactorily separated from the Town or even the University. Ultimately the supplement has proved twice the size of the original and the two parts together make an instrument of research which should be of real value to students of Cambridge and its County. light wear to bottom of spine; includes notes & index Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 113 pages.
