Printed by Updike at The Merrymount Press. Pp. xiii [1] 65 [1]. 195 x 255 mms. 4to.,original cream cloth over marbled boards, title label printed in black to spine, fore and lower edges uncut. A few spots to title label, otherwise a very good copy. ||A handsome volume, first published by Jesse in 1843, and presented here with Lady Louisa’s extensive notes and annotations, which she set down at the age of 86, unconvinced by Jesse’s abilities as an historian. Edited from the original manuscript and with an introduction by W.S. Lewis. |Smith 665.
