About This Item

Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, & Rivington, 1876. hard cover. Good. London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, & Rivington. 1876. xviii+403pp. Hardcover, no jacket. Heavily illustrated with b/w drawings. Good condition. Stamped and decorated brown cloth boards are a bit rubbbed, bumped and grimed. Gilt decoration to cover and spine remains bright and attractive. Interior is clean, unmarked, and unfoxed. Binding is secure, but cracked at hinges and p272. Overall a pretty nice copy. "...a new and interesting journey which the reader may make with us - a novel excursion among peope and through countries, of whose buildings he knows nothing, or, which having once seen, he may be glad to visit a second time."
