Possible, unconfirmed that author [1824-1905 ] might be St. Louis banker and private collector Charles Parson, who donated art collection to Kemper Art Museum in 1905. 3/4 polished calf, marbled sides, some rubbing and wear to extremities, front board detached; internally bright and clean.
