Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for inked out F/O name on the title page. Book Condition: Near Fine; light rubbing to panels; light tip bumps. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 111 pp 8vo. The author was an accomplished and prolific writer from Sedan, Kansas in Chautauqua County. This book is a collection of the reminiscences of life around Sedan beginning in 1941 and going through the war years to 1945 with one short page on the Korean War. Beginning with Pearl Harbor the author wrote little notes on the lives of the people "back home" during World War II which included considerable comments on the war. These writings eventually became a weekly newspaper column. A clean very presentable copy.
