Device of ornamental fleur-de-lis on title page; Syriac text at head of title. An edition of the N.T., with a Latin translation, and a select list of various readings; prepared by Martin Trost ... According to the preface, M. Trost based his text upon Widmanstadt's edition, with reference to four other editions. The Syriac text is printed in large type, with the Latin translation at the foot of the page." (Darlow & Moule). Bound in modern full leather, raised bands, ornate gilt tooling within compartments, gilt dentelles, center stamp on boards, marble endpapers. Boards slightly pulling on endpaper joints. Binding in near fine condition. Internally, some light tanning throughout, some light staining, mainly to inner margins. Pages in good clean condition. A very nice well bound copy.. Full-Leather. Very Good. Quarto.
