This is a nicely illustrated book with a very cute story. The book is nice and solid with a firm binding and a nice spine. The condition of this Classic Children's Book is Good+, no jacket. The cover on this book is very bright and clean. It has some surface wear but not too bad. There is wear on the bottom spine end which goes to the board. The corners also have wear to the boards but not that terrible. The spine side edge and the outside edges are very good. These end papers are great with a wonderful illustration. No names but it has a very small book store label from Lancaster, Pa. The pages are very nice and bright for its age. They are unmarked and clean. These illustrations by Clarence Bier are in color and B&W. There is some very mild page folding due to turning the pages. Pages are not numbered. Nice book from the 1940's.
