A late 19th-century children's story, with the charming illustrations of Mary A. Lathbury throughout. --- In pale yellow cloth-covered boards with illustration, decorations and titling in green and red to cover and spine. Volume has no dust jacket. --- A Fair-only copy, with quite a bit of soiling to cloth, partial splits at both hinges, and grandmother's warm gift inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1904. Despite splits, binding remains relatively stable.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; 142 pages .
