Crisp, bright, and clean; no owners' marks; a touch of shelf rubbing at the spine ends of the hard cover, a few very faint rub marks at the lower front of the the dust jacket and one tiny wrinkle at the left rear edge of the jacket, otherwise beautifully kept, the jacket unclipped and now protected in a clear sleeve. And beneath the recipients' names, the inscription reads: "Elvis Lives!" - honestly, Dean Koontz needs a servant like the coconut-wielding ones in the Holy Grail movie, except Koontz' servant would be a silent, visible ghost who mimed rim shots..
