Long Acre, London: ODHAMS PRESS LTD., 1962. Manual is in very good condition, dictionary is in good to very good condition. Manual is 9" x 6"; dictionary is 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". Both have navy blue boards with gilt titling to spines; both top page edges are stained blue; both have light blue endpapers and pastedowns; both headbands are intact. A few small dents and stains to back and front cover of manual; slight bumping to corners. Manual's spine is slightly shaken, page edges are toned; faint toning to endpapers. A few tiny marks to back and front cover of dictionary. Dictionary's spine is shaken with minor cracking; pages edges are toned and slightly foxed. Both texts are very clean and legible; a few faint and infrequent notes in pencil to a few early pages of the manual. No date given for dictionary, circa 1962. These two volumes form a complete basic course in Italian; designed for English speakers who are completely new to Italian, the manual contains 50 logical and straightforward lessons on Italian words, grammar, and pronunciation, "presented in a way that will not create difficulties for anyone." Scarce.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
