Cover in good condition, brown leather varnished, on the back paper inventory label no. '891'. Worn gilt lettering ornaments to the spine. Spine with vertical crease. Small dents to the cover leather surface, varnish scratched on the front cover, corners slightly worn and bent, front hinge slightly cracked. Text block: Excellent, red edge painting, little tanning to edges. Marbled paste-downs and end papers. Pages clean with minimal damage. Last 2 pages with dampstains. .

Libraire de Firmin Didot , 1853. Hardcover. Very Good. Reliure demi-cuir, dos a 4 nerfs avec une dizaine de doubles filets dorés, frontispice, marbled endpapers. Spine, raised bands, gilt in excellent condition as is the binding. Boards rubbed through on corners and twice on bottom edges. Most of the 594 pages of text are clean and crisp but there is light foxing in the first few and last pages. Discours au Roi.
