About This Item

Winter Park, Florida: The Rollins Press, 1929. First Edition. 8vo. 16 pp. Signature for "B. Grosvenor" on front cover, most likely Benjamin Grosvenor, descendent of the early pioner founding family of Pomfret, CT. Stiff tan illustrated wrappers in fine condition of an uncommon title; only 2 copies located in online institutions. Chandler Farm is typical of the productive farms that dotted the New England landscape in the mid nineteenth century when ninety percent of the population was still engaged in some form of agriculture. It was then owned by John Chandler, the fourth generation of his family to work the hundred-acre plot of land.
