Good Ruth Newton et al illus John C Winston Phila 1906 1st assumed hardcover Oblong 4to, unpaginated, color and b+w illustrations, pictorial cover, inscribed and signed by author. Text in verse. Inscribed "Mrs. House, with much love and remembrances of many happy hours spent at Magnolia together, from the author-Margaret L. Corlies/June 1909. " Mrs. House was the wife of Col. House (Edward Mandel House) a friend and confidant of President Wilson, negotiator of the 1918 armistice and member of the commission for the League of Nations. Pictured by pupils of the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art with color drawings by Ruth E. Newton and line drawings by Newton, Anna Garrett,and Arthur E. Bye. Front inside hinge paper cracked with waterspots on paper covered boards. Some general agewear; overall solid and clean.

Corner of one color plate torn, but laid in - white space only, not the illustration. Light edgewear to boards. "Pictured by pupils of the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art." Color drawings by Miss Ruth E. Newton. unpaginated.
