About This Item

The Old Venetian Palaces and Old Venetian Folk With Fifty Coloured and Other Illustrations. By Trevor Haddon. London: J M Dent & Co; New York: E P Dutton & Co. 1907 FIRST EDITION. Deluxe edition bound in half leather, 322 pages with full Alphabetical Index and Bibliography. This delightful book is a deluxe edition, produced in half leather (leather spine and corners original). Table of Contents is extensive, but it also has a full alphabetical index and bibliography in back, making this a valuable reference book from the early 20th century. The 50 colored illustrations are original -- and there are additional black and white photographic representations of well known art works which include the palaces and the people. All in all, a real gem!
Condition: This original 1907 book is a real beauty! The half leather binding has its original leather spine and corners with newer marbled paper applied. This is the only one we've ever found in a deluxe binding! Interior is clean, without marks, writing, inscriptions, stamps or bookplates. With its 50 color illustrations (samples in the photos) and many other illustrations representing well known art works featuring the palaces, it is a joy to behold! Pages signatures were split after publication, so edges are uneven, adding to its charm. We carefully photograph our items so that you can review details of condition. After your review of the photos, please ask any questions or request additional photos from us so that you can make the best buying decision.**Attention International Buyers** For all standard international book orders, we will be using Asendia consolidated shipping through Biblio.com. If you should choose expedited shipping instead, we will provide you with that additional cost by the most economical Federal Express International. Once actual shipping costs are calculated for your exact address, we will advise you of any additional charges or refund due. After all is agreed, your book(s) will ship promptly.***
