Octavo (8 3/4 x 6 inches), 24 page illustrated booklet, with pen sketches (one double page view of the Street by the author), original speckled brown paper wrappers. A romantic homage to a colorful area of Downtown Los Angeles by the woman who was instrumental, along with other civic leaders at the time, in the creation of what has become part of the history of Los Angeles. A historical perspective, and a detailed timeline of the transformation of a forgotten street into one of the city's idyllic destinations.

Staple-bound booklet. Minimal wear, in very good condition for its age. Covers are beginning to split at crease but binding is intact. Pages are clean and vibrant, NO foxing. self-published, 1947-01-01. Softbound (staple bound). Good. Staple-bound pamphlet in good condition. From page 11 to the book's end there are splashes, perhaps of coffee, upon the top 1" of the pages; these come and go in number. The center pages are a two-page spread illustration of Olvera Street, and in the upper left corner a former owner has written their information in blue pen. Light aging to edges of pages, which are straight and securely stapled. Illustrated paper wraps have light soil at edges and sunning at spine. Please see our photo.
