Occasional manuscript annotations, small stain on 8 preliminary ff., tiny wormhole in outer margin of 9 preliminary ff., a few small ink stains & some occasional soiling, four small marginal wormholes not affecting text.. The Emblemata of the great Italian jurist, Andrea Alciati, was first published in 1531. This is the second edition to include the commentary by Claude Mignault, which first appeared in 1577. Adams 608.
