London.. 1886- 1895.. Chromolithograph, image size approximately 18 x 13 inches, sheet size 20 1/2 x 15 inches, with accompanying text sheet. Soft crease to upper right corner; very good, bright condition. This is plate 78 from Sander's "Reichenbachia, Orchids Illustrated and Described." This publication featured beautiful life-size depictions of the orchids being introduced to England at the turn of the century, published by a horticultural firm which had orchid collectors working around the globe. Although it states "Joseph Mansell, Del et lith"" at lower left corner, the plate is signed "H. G. Moon". .
