White oblong octavo or large duodecimo, 1 folded sheet ; 61 x 19 cm, folded to 19 x 16 cm. Broadside poems -- California -- San Francisco -- 20th century. || Poem printed across 1 side and part of the other side of a sheet designed to be used unfolded. In its folded form the sheet has the appearance of an 8-page leaflet. The poem was first read by Ferlinghetti at a rally in San Francisco one week before the end of the Eisenhower Era.
