Price: "Mk. 2.- no." for score and "Mk. 8.- no." for parts, with printed note to left of prices: "Stich und Druck von C. G. Röder G.m.b.H., Leipzig."
Former owner's signature "Berthold Schroeder" in black ink to upper right corner of first page (title or blank) of each part with name of instrument added in Schroeder's hand to head of initial blank of Violin II, Viola and Violoncello parts.
Slightly browned, foxed and frayed; outer bifolium of first violin part frayed at edges and spine with tape repairs and slight loss.
An attractive wide-margined copy. First Edition, probable first issue. Rufer (Engl.) pp. 26-27. Ringer p. 312. Tetsuo Satoh pp. 5-6. Set of parts described as first edition on website of Arnold Schoenberg Center, Vienna, is identical except that each of the four parts is bound.
