Volume 1 Arranged for children from four to twelve years old 8vo sized light green cloth with dark green titles and illustrations over dark green title with bright gilt titles; 316 toned pages follows by several more pages of publisher's other works. Some black and white engravings on glossy stock. Two illustrations are detached and laid in at back of book (please see our seventh photograph.) Contents include: Abou Ben Adhem by Leigh Hunt The Chatterbox by Jane Taylor The Fairy to Puck by William Shakespeare I Remember, I Remember by Thomas Hood The Miser and His Three Sons by Oliver Goldsmith Seven Times One by Jean Ingelow Warren's Address by John Pierpont Ye Mariners of England by Thomas Campbell; much more. Edgewear and bumped and worn head and heel of spine and corners. Name written in pencil on fep and initials on reverse of title page; quarter of an inch tear in the margin of fep and in the bottom margin of page ix in the Contents section with a previous fold; initially written on page xiii. Our photographs of the title page (photos 2 and 3) have a darker area on the right corner. It is just a shadow and is not present on the actual page.
