About This Item
The First UK printing published by Nicholson & Watson, London in 1939. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition with light pushing at the spine tips. Some very slight fading of the shiny blue colouring to the spine. Light toning and spotting to the text-block. Some light offsetting to the blank end-papers. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good+ condition. Some loss at the spine ends and upper corners. Light edge wear with toning to the spine and some staining to the titling on the front cover. The front wrapper flap has been overpriced with a later 'Faber' price sticker. The pictorial wrapper remains very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. A scarce title. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
