Folkestone: Dawsons of Pall Mall, 1970. Fine. Folkestone, Dawsons of Pall Mall, 1970 (facsimile edition)/ 1570, and 1970. Small octavo, two volumes, [iv], 305 leaves, and [vi], 77 pages plus a frontispiece and 8 plates. Full parchment; first volume uncut and unopened; second volume uncut; boards slightly bowed; a fine set in the lightly rubbed slipcase. Number 130 of only 250 sets, with the facsimile produced from 'the only complete copy known to exist'. The original edition, 'printed in Mexico in 1570, is the first medical book published in the New World' (Guerra's introduction). [2 items].
