The First UK printing published by The Society for the Propagation of Religious Truth, Boleskine, Foyers, Inverness in 1905. The BOOK is in Very Good ++ condition. Original Wraps in dark-green wrappers with bright lettering along the spine with just a small rub to the letter 'E' in the word 'Crowley'. Small loss of the wrapper at the spine ends (see images) and a little edge wear but far less than usually encountered. Original deckled edges slightly toned. Light spotting to the prelims page edges otherwise clean. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The final page (the subscription page to 'The Works of Aleister Crowley') is firmly in place and showing just approximately a third separation from its perforation. Publisher's adverts to the rear are present. The binding remains tight and the book is protected in a loose Mylar archival cover. 'Unpublished fragments of the work of Alesteir Crowley with explanatory notes by R.P. Lester and the author'. A very scarce early Crowley title. Collectible. More images available on request. [viii], 175, 14, [2 publisher's list]pp. Bound in publisher's dark green camel hair wrappers; spine lettered in white. About Very Good with chipping at extremities, fill-in repairs at foot and bottom joints; crease down center of spine. Tape ghost at front gutter; split hinge at p. 16; contents lightly foxed with minor toning. A scarce collection of poetry by English occultist and ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley, as well as his translations of Baudelaire. Composed at Crowley's abode on Loch Ness, Boleskin House, which would later house Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Rare with the fragile original wrappers in any state.
