by Demosthenes & Cicero

Condition: See description

New York, NY D. Appleton and Company, 1900. Hardcover Literary Classics Series Edition of 1904. Very Good: shows indications of light use: very light wear to extremities; very faint sunning to the backstrip (the titles thereon remain legible); the binding remains square and secure; the text clean. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. No longer 'As New', but remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.45 x 5.75 x 1.3 inches). xvii, 485 pages. Red buckram cloth over boards with pastedown label at backstrip, which shows a little loss due to rubbing around the edges (however, there is a replica replacement label tacked in at the lower rear pastedown endpaper with which it could be replaced). Text block is uncut; some pages unopened; Top edge Gilt; five black and white illustrations. Red Ribbon Marker. Translated by Charles Rann Kennedy. Critical and Biographical Introduction by Robert Barber Youngman. Weight: 1 pound, 9.2 ounces. Literary Classics Series Edition of 1904. Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'.
