London: Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1915. First Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 177pp. Cloth over boards in good condition, corners and spine ends rubbed. Contents are age-toned (especially frontispiece tissue-guard) and rear pastedown has a some tape residue. Tissue guard at frontispiece has small chip to lower corner. Contents are clean., binding is tight and sound. Folk-tales told to the author "by various illiterate village folks".
