London: Frederick Warne and Co., 1881. Book. Illus. by Emmerson, H. H.. Good. Paperback. First Edition. 4to (20 x 25cm). A charming original colour (chromolithographic) plate dating to c. 1880 from May Blossom. The illustrations are by H. H. Emmerson depicting wonderfully nostalgic scenes. This plate is titled The Princess and her Kittens . The paper is a very lightly toned, and lightly worn to edges, emininently suitable for framing. A strong and vibrant image. (Please note: this print has been taken from an incomplete and defective copy of the original book.).
