An original large, engraved map (Part of the Atlas of India series) dated 1830 (presumed First edition); with hand-colouring in outline. Engraved by J & C. Walker. and dissected into 8 parts and mounted on linen; approx. 660mm x 1000mm (folded size approx. 330mm x 250mm). Diamond paper labels with "No. 138" to the reverse and the manuscript title "Mishmi 1830" Condition is good with paper toned and lighlt marked, a little insect damage to the edges almost entirely restricted to the applied black border, a couple of very small inconspicuous worm holes to the map itself affecting just a few letters; linen backing and map worn at dissected corners in varying degrees, linen backing somewhat marked/stained.
