About This Item

Albany: Joel Munsell's Sons, 1889 Copyrighted by W. H. Whitmore. [2], 28pp, [46] printed in laid paper, retaining original grey paper covers, and bound in brown cloth, with spine gilt still bright. ASSOCIATION COPY - with the signature of "K. P. Loring" being Katherine P. Loring of Burn Side, Prides Crossing, Massachusetts. John Singer Sargent painted a watercolor of Katherine and her Sister Louisa called "Study In Green". The paper covers look as if it they may have been in a fire, receiving a bit of smoke damage to the back cover, and occasional interior edges, which can be erased if you should choose to do so.
