Written by Lucy Joynes, an English writer and poet known for her children's books. In the original quarter black calf with paper covered boards. Externally, worn with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor loss to the head of the spine and marks to the boards. Fading to the spine. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with very light scattered spotting. Light age toning to the endpapers. Two small tears to the frontispiece. Ink and pencil inscriptions to the endpapers.
