[2], 46, [1, [1, signed colophon] pp. Publisher's black cloth, blind-stamped in a diamond pattern, green patterned endpapers and pastedowns, printed paper spine label. Minor extremity wear, spine label browned (as usual) and with some edge chipping, and a previous owner's signature to front endpaper (1924). Else a very good and clean copy.

Bright, clean and unmarked contents. A group of Machen's prose poems originally written at the end of the 19th-century but first published here. A tough book to track down as Knopf did not release a trade edition. Printed by the Pynson Printers.

In a good, intact slipcase, with some wear at the crown (including part of the spine label, though the text is complete), and mild general wear, including a partial split near the base and at the top edge. This is copy number 629 of 1000 limited copies SIGNED by the author on the limitation page. Rather scarce, and particularly so in the slipcase.
