About This Item

New York: Clarion Books, 2003. 2003 First Printing, with full printing number line on copyright page. FINE in NEAR FINE price-intact dust jacket. INSCRIBED by author Haven Kimmel on the front free endpapaer, in black felt tip, "To Nina, with best wishes from all the good dogs" and signed with her distinctive "HK" swash. No other markings, pages and color pictorial hardcover are fresh and unworn. Binding and hinges firm, intact and straight. Unclipped jacket, design matching the cover, is very lightly shelf worn; no soling, no tears, chips or creases. Orville is an ugly, lovable dog, tired of living his life at the end of a chain. Robert Andrew Parker's lively watercolors perfectly complement the tale. The first children's book by the author of "A Girl Named Zippy", now uncommon - signed copies particularly scarce. 10-3/4 x 6-3/4" (oblong); 32 pages. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Parker, Robert Andrew.
