Inscribed by Oscar Hammerstein 2nd to Vivian [Ellis]: For Vivian/ with the warm regards/ and admiration of his host,/ the second/ Oscar. The recipient of this book Vivian [Ellis] created more than 60 English stage musicals and was behind many of the popular songs which thrilled listeners before and after WW2
