Paperback. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 589 pages; Osservazioni della lingua italiana raccolte dal Cinonio illustrate ed accresciute dal Cavaliere Luigi Lamberti. Volume quarto. Cinonio - Marcoantonio Mambellli, called "il Cinonio" was a Italian Jesuit and man of letters, best known for "Osservazioni sulla lingua italiana," considered the first grammar devoted to the Italian language proper. Width: 6.25" Height: 9". Antique volume is bound in original wrappers. Book shows loss of material along fore edges of front and rear cover, as well as of initial 25 pages of text (loss only affects margins and not text). Minor loss of material to spine. Book is soundly bound. Partially uncut pages are clean and bright. .
