About This Item

New York: McGraw-Hill, 1971. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. [8], 579, [1] pp. With a foreward by Senator Joseph Tydings. Writing in 1970, he called for coastal managment plans to prepare for the influx of ever greater numbers of people into risk-prone coastal areas. Includes geological time scale, glossary, and index. In their introduction, the authors explain that the evidence of rapid coastal change Wanless was finding through comparative aerial photography, and an increased pressure from coastal development led them to this more detailed study. Edges foxed, with a musty smell.
