Full page black and white wood engraving from February 7, 1863 Harper's Weekly, image approximately 14 x 9 inches on 16 x 11 inch sheet, includes accompanying sheet with article and additional half page engraving. Faint soiling to outer margins, 1/4 inch foxing mark to mid upper image of each sheet, light toning to paper. Good condition. This single page is composed of three vignette illustrations: Western Gun-boat Ram "Indianola", Western Iron-clad Gun-boat Ram "Choctaw" and Western Iron-clad Gun-boat Ram "Lafayette." Additional sheet contains article "The New Western Gun-boats" and half page engraving: Torpedo in the Western Rivers. .
