Book is tight, square, and is marked- inked out names on the textblock edges and bottom of dedication page. Book Condition: Good; light shelfwear to head, tail, tips, and lower board bottom edges. DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped ($1.50); corners are clipped; light toning to spine and rear panel; light chipping to top edge. Blue cloth boards and spine with white lettering in a blue shadowbox paste-on label on spine. 127 pp 8vo. Hailed more as a poet, the author is becoming more widely known for his mastery of poetic-dramatic form. This book is a verse play that is fantastic and satirical, and will appeal particularly to admirers of the Auden-Isherwood play, "Dog Beneath the Skin". The play is "a vigorous contemporary treatment of the Artist and Prostitute theme." A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.

Harcourt, Brace and Company, n.d. (ca. 1937). Hardcover. Very Good -/Very Good. Copyright page has no date; only reads "Printed in Great Britain". The volume is edge rubbed, with fraying on and near the spine ends, and there is light age toning to the leaves. The dust jacket, sleeved in mylar, is uniformly corner clipped (price of $1.75 is intact), soiled with some light moisture spots on and near the spine, and edge rubbed with very shallow corner and spine chips. Laid in is a 1937 advertisement to join Group Theatre which features this play in its production schedule.
