Some rub-marking and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers with plate to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed. Unclipped jacket has light edge-wear with minor tears and chipping. Moderate tanning and creasing, with rubbing and marking.

More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some very noticeable looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild rubbing, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has minor tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Boards bright; edges sound, corners sharp. Spine head, heel and lower spine edge with very light rubbing, otherwise perfect. Square spine; tight binding, no loose pages. Front endpaper with previous owner's gift inscription. Otherwise, interior unmarked and clean. DJ not price clipped. DJ bright with light edge wear; minor loss at corners of extremities on front cover. DJ with moderate loss at corners of extremities of back cover. DJ spine with 1" closed tear at spine head and some rubbing of edges. A nice copy Size: 8vo - 7¾" - 9¾.

London: Heinemann, 1924. Book is worn. Spine is chipped at head and tail. Pages are tanned at edges. Cloth covers are a little soiled and has the words 'first book' scribbled on the spine. There appears to be a repair to the back hinge of the spine. The book is a new impression of the Cheaper Edition of 1924. 309 pages.. Reprint. Red Cloth. Poor/No Jacket. 5" x 7.5". Hard Cover.
